Look at the two ways of practicing the triangle pose above. On the left is me falling toward the floor, creating a bigger scoliosis curve. On the right is me engaging my muscles and elongating my spine.

This is one example of how important it is to practice your movements with awareness of your scoliosis pattern and in alignment. Otherwise you could be perpetuating your imbalances. The good news is, muscles and soft tissues adapt well and can be retrained to better support your body.
